Sober Living House Manager

Full-time Position

Department: Clinical/ Administrative
Responsible to: Clinical Director

Primary Duties: Coordinates and assists in the smooth operation of various processes that contribute to the services of the organization to achieve its objectives for Sober Living clientele.

Supervision is provided through:
1. Facility monitoring activities.
2. Direct observation.
3. Staff meetings, management meetings/ in-services.
4. Individual meetings as needed.
5. Disciplinary and grievance procedures.
6. Annual performance appraisal.

Minimum Training and Experience:
1. Education – High School Diploma.
2. Experience – Knowledge of the disease of chemical dependency and 12-Step Recovery program.
3. Licenses- CPR

Special Requirements:
1. Basic computer skills.
2. Approachable individual with a professional manner.
3. Methodical in approach to tasks.
4. Self motivated and able to work on own initiative.
5. Effective time management with the ability to multi-task.
6. Team player and able to communicate at all levels.
7. Ability to analyze and problem solve.
8. Knowledge of available community resources.
9. Age / Gender Specifics – Ability to work with male/female adult substance abuse population.

Living space will be provided, along with any office supplies and equipment needed to perform the described

Physical / Emotional Demands / Working Conditions:
1. Work is sedentary and ambulant. Occasional physical exertion (lifting 30 or more pounds, walking, standing, etc.).
2. Work involves some travel for facility management. Coping skills required for dealing with emergency
situations. Exposed to risk of accident while traveling for facility. Quality of hearing (whether natural or with
accommodation) must be acceptable due to frequent conversations with clients and client family members.
3. Subject to irregular hours (on call).
