Cristy is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and has been working in the substance abuse treatment field since 2010. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a Minor in Psychology from the University of North Texas at Denton. Cristy’s passion for the helping field stems from her own recovery from an eating disorder. She has a special place in her heart for working with clients that struggle with substance abuse as well as eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image issues. Cristy’s treatment career has been enhanced by a variety of roles in both adolescent and adult treatment, including Case Manager, Discharge Coordinator, IOP Counselor, and now IOP Program Manager. Cristy is committed to incorporating family involvement and community resources to aid in every client’s process through recovery. Cristy is a self-taught woodworker, DIY enthusiast, and a devoted dog mom.
